lomography & travel

I got my little Lomo LCA camera in 2003, my parents were very attentive and I got it for Christmas that year. I take it with me most days and have it on hand in case I need to document something beautiful. I always take it with me on trips and I wanted to share a couple of my photos with you.

I am one of the lucky ones. My dad is a gifted man who shares his humor and life with all those around him. He has been a dad to so many people, not just my sister and I. I am proud to say I am his daughter. He taught me what a man looks like, in his actions and his words. Thank you dad, we all love you!!

dreaming of spring

Winter in Virginia is pretty bleak, we don't have the beautiful blanket of pristine white snow to cover the lack of nature. But yesterday I saw flower buds on a tree and got all excited! I know it's still far off but spring will come, and when it does, it shows up in every color imaginable. Here are some photographs I took last spring at the Harrisonburg arboretum and they remind me of what is to come.

conner in the park

conner is my favorite lil buddy. i have been taking pictures of him since he was born and it is really amazing to look back at his first decade. this is one of my favorites. i will post the rest of the park pictures in a separate post soon :) this is from 2006.
