We stayed at the Ace Hotel, it was awesome. The food at the hotel's restaurant, the Breslin, was so good that it was hard to eat other places. that is saying a lot since it is New York. The first night, we were starving and didn't want to think about where to eat and we just strolled in. I ordered the lamb burger with thrice fried potatoes and it rocked my world. Scott ordered duck with brussel sprouts and rediscovered the vegetable, everything was so so good. We couldn't resist ordering room service a couple days later and it rocked. next time you are in New York you have to try the Breslin. Yum!

happy (belated) new year!

sorry I have been missing these last couple weeks! my love finally came home from deployment and we were traveling up and down the east coast together. so amazing. but I will be back shortly with some photographs from our journey.
this is the first time I have even opened my computer since before new years, wow.
but I am back and ready to show you more.

this couple and their adorable little westie were really fun to shoot, even though it was a very brisk cold day. now that the streets are covered with ice and snow, that 50 degree day is looking pretty good. stay warm everyone!

I am all too familiar with the missing that comes with having a long distance relationship. I was so happy to see these two love birds together, making it happen. It is possible and it is so worth it.

we were at a wedding and these photos are me taking advantage of the candlelight. these two are recently engaged and seeing them together is happiness. these are not their engagement pictures; hopefully we will all be in the same state again soon to make that happen.

so I realize this is a photography blog but I also want to share some beautiful things that I think you might like. I love love love paper. It has always been one of my weaknesses (there are many). Being a navy wife you get used to emailing your love when they are far away, but there is still something so special about mailing a handwritten letter.
